Part 1: Arm Balances: Obstacle or Opportunity
We all have poses in our Asana practice that we *love*, or *love to avoid*! Regardless of where Arm Balances may fall for you, let’s look at them together! In this workshop, we’ll explore:
• anatomy: arms (shoulders, hands, wrists) and core
• balance: physically, mentally and emotionally
• obstacles and opportunities: how we perceive and work through our practice - on and off the mat.
Part 2: Sutras & Meditation
Discover the philosophy behind living your yoga off the mat, as we continue exploring the Yoga Sutras - Pada (chapter) 2. We'll discuss key yoga sutras (threads or aphorisms) that dive into the nature of what Yoga truly is (it's not just yoga poses!) including the
Kleshas (Obstacles) we may encounter on the path.
Followed by a Meditation practice. All levels of practitioners welcome. *Required text: The Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali by Chip Hantranft (However, any author's translation is welcome.)
Both sessions can be used as Continuing Education hours for
Yoga Alliance registered teachers.
The Great Yoga Wall Workshop

The Great Yoga Wall, commonly known as a “rope wall”, enhances the practice of yoga for all practitioners, beginners to advanced. The yoga wall creates deeper awareness in yoga poses where areas of stability, flexibility, and the recognition of habitual patterns can be safely discovered.
In this workshop, students will be guided through a complete yoga practice integrating the rope wall for poses (asanas). $22

Join Casey Van Zandt, for a special 90-minute holiday yoga class that's open to all levels. In this class, you'll BREATHE into the rest of the holiday season and the new year with more balance, grace, and ease. You will focus on mindful breathing techniques that will guide you in and out of asana poses to ultimately explore different tempos of pace to find your center with more balance. You’ll learn how to use your breath to serve as a tool and study the art of responding versus reacting both on and off of your mat.
Casey is a Santa Monica-based, 500 HR YogaWorks Trained Instructor and a high-performance mindset coach to executives and corporate teams. Casey grew up in Metairie and graduated from LSU. While teaching at YogaWorks, Casey enjoys bringing balance into people’s day to day busy lives through her empowering yoga classes and international wellness retreats. Her hope is for you to use her classes as a catalyst to seek balance in your work and life.

Yoga for Busy People: Building a Home Practice

Can’t make it to yoga class very often? A home yoga practice is a great way to supplement your studio practice. Building your own yoga practice can be a challenge - what poses? what to do? Marc can help!
In this workshop, Marc will guide you in discovering the yoga that is already there inside you. Together, you'll learn how to build a personalized home yoga practice. You’ll learn about basic yoga sequencing and how to use (and improvise) props at home. We’ll also discuss how to include basic breathing (pranayama) and meditation techniques into your home practice. Bring a pencil and a notebook and prepare to take your practice to a new level.
All students will receive:
- a basic flow sequence they can personalize
- a basic relaxation yoga sequence that can be done at home with little or no props.

Sun Salutations (or Surya Namaskar A & B) are the most commonly found flowing sequences in yoga classes. And if you're going to be doing a lot of Chaturanga, Upward Dog and Downward Dog in every class, why not make sure you're doing them well? Together, we'll break down the poses that make up these sequences and discuss:
